About NDMA
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is the main government body responsible for coordinating disaster risk management in the Maldives, leading national efforts in preparedness, response, recovery, and disaster risk reduction. Established under the Disaster Management Act (28/2015), NDMA strengthens coordination and resilience through national planning and advocacy. DALA is developed and maintained by NDMA to improve disaster information management and support evidence-based decision making.
